Objectives

The project pursues 6 main objectives:

To ensure better access to justice for citizens and enterprises by enabling them to assert their rights throughout Europe by means of extra-judicial dispute resolution tools
To promote the resolution of cross-border disputes among EU citizens and enterprises
To improve local competitiveness by fostering the trust in the EU internal market system
To assert the role of conciliation/mediation procedures as a means to achieve social agreement by common consent, in a more adequate way than resorting to an ordinary judge or arbitrator, both for national and cross-border disputes
To build institutional capacities in providing services for orientating and supporting citizens and businesses towards conciliation/mediation procedures
To support contacts, exchange of information and the strengthening of networks among the stakeholders coping with the implementation of conciliation/mediation procedures
